Slovenia / Austria / Czech Republic: Train Ride

Nada and me started our vacation time. This year we decided to cycle from spring to source of river Vltava in Czech Republic and since we had plenty of time, just enjoy on the way.

On our first day we just needed to arrive to Prague. We chose to use the trains from Slovenia over Austria to Czech Republic, but due to limited capacity for the bikes on the trains, we needed the whole day to get there and that involved some waiting on the train stations, where we had to switch between the trains. After 15 hours we settled in our apartment in Prague.

We left our home in Podljubelj with bikes and we cycled to Lesce, where we waited for the train.

After 22 breakfast kilometres we reached the train station - Garmin Connect.

Awesome ticketing system.

Our first stop was in Beljak. Since we had to wait for a while for the new train, we explored the city.

Crossing the Drava river.

Beljak / Villach is the seventh-largest city in Austria and the second-largest in the federal state of Carinthia.

Photographing with the statues.

Back to the train station with some food and beers.

Waiting for the train.

We started to play rummy.

Another stop in Dunaj / Vienna.

Quick loop near the train station.

Ready to enter Czech Republic.

Few more rounds of rummy along with the rainbow. Tuši won off course.

In the evening we finally arrived to Prague.

Quick ride through the city centre.

Our apartment was just over the Karlův most / Charles Bridge.
